“Games where players navigate surfaces and obstacles to progress. Player actions often involve jumping, climbing, or changing directions.”
Roblox Creator Hub, Genres (Roblox Creator Hub), checked Oct 11, 2026.
Obby & Platformer is the genre ObbyDesk is named after: games where you jump, climb and change direction to get past obstacles. Roblox lists three subgenres. In a Classic Obby you jump from platform to platform to reach the end. In a Runner your character moves on its own and you dodge whatever is in the way. A Tower Obby sends you upward, floor after floor of platforms and obstacles.
This page only lists obbies that reached Roblox's Top Playing Now chart, so it can be short even though Roblox has far more obbies than any chart shows. When an obby is listed, the subgenre column tells you which kind it is and the maturity column shows Roblox's own label.
The genre is Roblox's, shown on each game's Roblox page. The developer picks it, and Roblox says: “Roblox regularly reviews games and may update any genre selections that appear inaccurate.” ObbyDesk never moves a game to another genre. Roblox also says: “Roblox also uses this information when placing games in genre-specific top and trending sorts on the Charts page.”
