The games Roblox files under Survival that reached its Top Playing Now chart in the last 7 days, with rank, players, subgenre and Roblox's maturity label.
What Roblox means by Survival
“Games where the objective is for players to survive, escape, or defeat something that is threatening them.”
Roblox Creator Hub, Genres (Roblox Creator Hub), checked Oct 11, 2026.
Roblox has no Horror genre. Many of the games players call horror, such as monster escapes, chase games and rounds where one player is "it", are filed under Survival instead. Roblox lists two subgenres: 1 vs All, where players have different roles and usually one is "it" while the others escape or fight back, and Escape, where the goal is to get away from a threat alive.
How scary a game is shows up in Roblox's maturity label, which covers fear: Roblox's Minimal label allows "occasional mild fear" and Mild allows "repeated mild fear". The table shows that label for every game, next to the subgenre. If you want games picked by theme rather than by the chart, see our horror list linked below.
The genre is Roblox's, shown on each game's Roblox page. The developer picks it, and Roblox says: “Roblox regularly reviews games and may update any genre selections that appear inaccurate.” ObbyDesk never moves a game to another genre. Roblox also says: “Roblox also uses this information when placing games in genre-specific top and trending sorts on the Charts page.”
