Simulation is the genre Roblox gives to games about running something: a business, a base, a vehicle or a counter that keeps going up. Roblox splits it into six subgenres. In a Tycoon you collect money from droppers and spend it upgrading your base. In an Incremental Simulator simple repeated actions raise a number and unlock new levels and characters. Idle, Physics Sim, Sandbox and Vehicle Sim complete the set.

The genre is Roblox's, shown on each game's Roblox page. The developer picks it, and Roblox says: “Roblox regularly reviews games and may update any genre selections that appear inaccurate.” ObbyDesk never moves a game to another genre.
