DOORS Stairwell: Access Granted Update and Candy Vault Date

The DOORS Stairwell got its biggest change on October 2, 2026, when LSPLASH's Access Granted update expanded it with new threats, items and achievements. The game's Roblox page now opens with "EXPLORE THE STAIRWELL NOW!", and the next listed event, The Candy Vault, starts October 22. Here is what is official, what comes only from the fan wiki, and what players are saying.
Key Takeaways
- Access Granted went live October 2, 2026 at 18:00 UTC, per Roblox's event listing and LSPLASH's trailer.
- Free: the listing says the Stairwell is "FREE and available through the Lobby".
- Badges: Roblox's badge data shows new DOORS badges created on October 2, among them "Stair Master" and "Plug & Play".
- Next: The Candy Vault is listed for October 22, 2026, 18:00 UTC, with "MORE INFO SOON...".
- Players like the new content but report lag around Meld.
What Happened
LSPLASH posted Access Granted as a Roblox event. Its description reads: "You have been given access to The Stairwell... full of horrific threats, new items, new achievements, and tons of useful materials for you to make use of. Just make sure you follow protocol." It closes with "Will be FREE and available through the Lobby." and "RELEASING OCTOBER 2, 2026". The developer's trailer on its own YouTube channel, uploaded the same day, gives the time as "2 PM EST".
The Stairwell itself is older. LSPLASH's listing for The Archives Update, a "REIMAGINED SUBFLOOR", is dated "RELEASING AUGUST 28, 2026" and promises that "ALL subfloors will be PERMANENTLY FREE to access, as long as you have discovered them." The fan-run DOORS wiki says the Stairwell "was released alongside The Archives on August 28, 2026", and calls Access Granted "a large expansion to The Stairwell".

The official pages do not list the monsters, and LSPLASH's description says why: "We recommend entering without a guide; use each death as a lesson." If you want spoilers anyway, the DOORS wiki names five Stairwell entities. Noise is "A static textured entity that crawls out of a TV", Stem "follows you around, and pops on being thrown twice", Creak is "A tall, lanky entity covered in fleshy holes, that is shy", Cobbler "speaks a cryptic language", and Meld is "A fleshy substance that makes giant flesh walls that can close up". The wiki also lists Hijack, a variant of Noise.
Why It Matters
DOORS is trending again. At 10:17 UTC on October 10, 2026 it was fourth on Roblox's Trending chart and 18th on Top Playing Now, with 66,029 players a minute later. It has 7,854,025,782 visits since March 14, 2021 and servers for up to 50 players.
Players are split on the expansion. One called it "amazing! I got zero complaints, Meld, the shopping cart, scraps, THE STARLIGHT JUG it is just GREAT man!" (u/ElderberryWest6304, Oct 3, 2026). Another wrote that "They made the stairwell more difficult which it definitely needed but I still think it's relatively easy" (u/Random_Guy301, Oct 3, 2026). The most upvoted reply in a thread titled "Stairwell is literally unplayable" asked for settings: "They need an option to disable certain aspects with Meld, like removing the veins on the floor, or some of the blobs" (u/Ashamed_Map4682). Players in that thread suggest setting graphics quality by hand instead of Automatic, though one said it still lagged on the lowest setting.

What comes next is a Halloween-season event. The Candy Vault is listed from October 22, 2026 at 18:00 UTC to November 9, with the subtitle "YOU'RE INVITED!" and the description "MORE INFO SOON...". The image is an envelope with a red wax seal next to a wrapped candy. That is all LSPLASH has shared, so we will cover it when it is out.
Our take
Based on LSPLASH's listings and the badge data, the Stairwell is worth a run now if you already play DOORS: it is free from the Lobby, and Access Granted added a new set of achievements. If you have a weaker device, read the lag complaints first and try lower graphics. Newer horror fans should know Roblox rates DOORS Mild while the page warns of "Loud sounds, flashing lights ahead!" How we checked this
We read DOORS' game data, description, group, badges, age label and event listings through a mirror of Roblox's official API on October 10, 2026, read the title and description of LSPLASH's trailer on its own YouTube channel, and compared the fan-run DOORS wiki (marked as such in the text). Reddit threads were read in a browser. All 71 sources are in our source file. Last reviewed October 10, 2026.
