Roblox The Hollow Event: October 22 Date and What's Known

The Roblox The Hollow event starts on October 22, 2026, according to a teaser Roblox posted on its own X account on October 10. The post reads "you’ve met them before. but not like this." and ends its 29-second trailer on a red logo, "The HOLLOW", over the date "10.22.26". On October 17, Roblox named nine games taking part in posts on its Instagram account. That is all Roblox has made official so far, so this preview sticks to the post, the trailer, those game posts and how the last two Roblox Halloween events worked.

TL;DR: Roblox's teaser dates The Hollow to Thursday, October 22, 2026, and Roblox named nine games for it on October 17, including DOORS, Piggy and Dandy's World. No start time, end date or rewards were public as of October 19. Five top games have event listings starting October 22 or 23 as well.

What parents need to know:

• The Hollow is Roblox's own event, not one game's. Roblox has named nine games taking part. No start time, end date or rewards were public as of Oct 19.
• Past Roblox Halloween events had free rewards and paid items too, per the fan wiki.
• Parents can set a monthly spending limit in Roblox's Parental Controls.

Key Takeaways

• Date: "10.22.26" on Roblox's X post and at the end of its trailer.
• Name: "The HOLLOW", shown on the trailer's last frames.
• Games: nine, named on Roblox's Instagram on October 17: DOORS, Piggy, Dandy's World, 99 Nights in the Forest, Animal Hospital, The Mimic, Scary Shawarma Kiosk, Warden and Demonology.
• Unknown: start time, end date, quests and rewards.
• Past pattern: The Haunt (2024) and Halloween Spotlight (2025) both started in the last third of October, per the fan wiki.
• Same week: DOORS, Brookhaven RP, Jujutsu Shenanigans, BedWars and Creatures of Sonaria all have event listings starting October 22 or 23.

What Happened

Roblox posted the teaser at 16:42 UTC on October 10, 2026 from its @Roblox account. The text is two lines: "you’ve met them before. but not like this." and "10.22.26". By the time we checked on October 16, the post had 1,691,358 views and 16,050 likes.

The trailer is about 29 seconds long. We stepped through it frame by frame. Most of it is dark silhouettes against a red glow: something with antlers, a clawed hand, a round head with a glowing red circle. No game names or logos appear on screen. The last frames show the logo "The HOLLOW" with "10.22" under it, then "10.22.26".

The first line, "you’ve met them before", suggests familiar characters. We can't tell from the silhouettes alone which ones. A Reddit post on the day said "5 games were apparently teased in the trailer as well, one of them being Piggy!" (Reddit, Oct 10, 2026). That was a fan's reading. A week later Roblox named the games itself, and Piggy is one of them.

Fan sources picked up the name within minutes. The fan news account RBXEventHunters posted at 16:45 UTC that "The upcoming halloween event will be called "The Hollow" and is starting October 22nd". The fan-run Roblox wiki opened a page the same day, calling it "an upcoming" Halloween event that "will start on October 22, 2026", with the end date listed as "TBA". Roblox's newsroom had no post about it when we checked on October 19.

The nine games. On October 17, Roblox's Instagram account posted nine short videos, one per game, each placing a character from that game in The Hollow:

• DOORS: "Seek from DOORS is looking for you in The Hollow."
• Piggy: "Ready for Chapter 13? Piggy is back, and this chapter takes place in The Hollow."
• Dandy's World: Twisted Dandy "has left the shop for The Hollow."
• 99 Nights in the Forest: "The Deer from 99 Nights in the Forest is hunting in The Hollow."
• Animal Hospital: "Mimic from Animal Hospital is checking into The Hollow."
• The Mimic: "Hiachi from The Mimic is wandering The Hollow."
• Scary Shawarma Kiosk: "The Inspector from Scary Shawarma Kiosk is inspecting The Hollow."
• Warden: "The Overseer from Warden will be watching you in The Hollow."
• Demonology: "Biter from Demonology is expecting you in The Hollow."

Each post names a character, not a quest or a reward. They don't say what players do in each game, or what they can earn.

Why It Matters

If it follows the last two years, The Hollow will be a hub with quests in other games and items to earn. The fan wiki describes both past events:

• The Haunt (October 24 to November 1, 2024). Roblox's event text read "Welcome to Axbury Manor, where the Headless Horseman's curse runs rampant." Players could "Enter your wicked costumes in the contest and earn free items with a chance to win exclusive prizes." The wiki says the event was "mainly used to promote Roblox's new capture feature".
• Halloween Spotlight (October 23 to November 3, 2025). A haunted forest hub called The Cursed Clearing led into "31 participating games entries". Players would "Earn Runes and Keys by completing Halloween-themed quests in participating experiences." The wiki also lists paid user-generated items and "24-hour only limited items".

The teaser style matches Roblox's last big event, too. The fan wiki says The Hunt: Roblox 20 (September 17 to 28, 2026) was first teased with a post "featuring the prominent date "09 - 17 - 26"", and that event invited players to "Subscribe to Roblox Plus to get early access to the hub and up to three additional exclusive items during the event." The wiki lists The Hollow as the event after it. Whether The Hollow has a paid early access option is not known yet.

October 22, 2026 is a Thursday. The Haunt also began on a Thursday, which Bloxy News reported ahead of time ("will begin Thursday, October 24th and run through November 1st", as quoted on the wiki).

Other Halloween dates that week. Roblox's own event listings, read on October 11 and again on Oct 19, put several game updates right next to The Hollow (start times in US Eastern):

The guide site endgametools lists the same Sonaria window. Some guide sites show other days for the DOORS and Jujutsu Shenanigans listings, so check the game page that week. Sonaria's listing promises to "Unlock the "Clawed Spore" creature and a new "Cursed" subspecies this week". Piggy, the game the Reddit post names, already has a Frightful Forest listing running October 10 to November 8. US daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on November 1, so Eastern times for anything after that shift by an hour. Our guides cover the DOORS Candy Vault date, Brookhaven's Halloween listing, the Jujutsu Shenanigans Halloween update and BedWars Halloween parts.

Not every player is excited about the name. "Can Roblox stop naming every event, "The [X]"?" one commenter asked (Reddit, Oct 10, 2026). Another shrugged: "Anyway, as long as it has cool items its all good" (Reddit, Oct 10).

Our take

Based on Roblox's post and trailer, plan on Thursday, October 22, and treat everything else as unknown until Roblox posts the event page. Trust only the nine games Roblox named on October 17, and ignore reward lists that appear before then. If the event follows The Haunt and Halloween Spotlight, expect free rewards alongside paid items; parents can set a monthly spending limit in Roblox's Parental Controls first.
