Flee the Facility Guide: Beast, Computers, Pods and Rules

TL;DR: Hack computers together, three to a computer when you can: 20 seconds and 2 skill checks instead of 64 seconds and 6 alone. When a friend is caught, send one rescuer and keep the rest hacking.

The Beast is not your biggest problem in Flee the Facility. A blown-up computer is, because the whole server hears it. This Flee the Facility guide covers how a round works, how to hack faster as a group and how to free a frozen friend. The game also got a big crowd this week: it is part of Roblox's The Hollow event.

Checked Oct 24 from the developer's Roblox page and DevForum rules. Fan-wiki details are marked.

Key Takeaways

  • The round (fan wiki): one Beast, up to four Survivors, 15 minutes, a 15-second head start.
  • The goal: hack computers, open one of two Exit Doors, escape.
  • Capture: a hit Survivor ragdolls for about 28 seconds. A Survivor in a Freeze Pod freezes after 50 seconds.
  • The Hollow: the "The Hollow 2026" badge was awarded 985,404 times by October 24.
  • Rules (official): teaming and camping mean a 1 day ban. Selling items for Robux means a permanent one.

Overview: what Flee the Facility is

The developer's pitch fits in one line: "RUN, HIDE, ESCAPE! Run from the beast, unlock the exits, and flee the facility!" It came out on July 1, 2017. It has 6,098,575,753 visits and 9,749,008 favorites, and each server holds 5 players. The game page says it "runs well on phones, tablets, PC, Xbox, and PlayStation."

It is made by A.W. Apps, a verified Roblox group with 1,988,298 members. Roblox labels it Mild, with "Fear (Repeated/Mild)" and "Violence (Repeated/Mild)". So expect chases and a hammer, but nothing gory.

The details of a round come from the Flee the Facility fan wiki, which is unofficial. The developer's own posts cover rules and changes, and we quote those where they apply.

Step-by-Step: how a Flee the Facility round works

1. One player becomes the Beast. The fan wiki says "One player will become the Beast at the beginning of the round." The Beast waits while Survivors get a 15-second head start. It picks a power: Runner, Stalker or Seer. If it does not pick, it gets Runner.

2. Survivors have 15 minutes. The clock is the round's hard limit, per the wiki.

3. Hack the computers. You need one more computer than there are Survivors, and one extra spawns. In a full server, four Survivors hack five computers out of six. Each finished computer pays 6 credits and 50 XP to the Survivors hacking it when it completes.

4. Do not miss the skill checks. A skill check pops up while you hack. Miss it and the computer will "blow up", and "everyone in the server, including the Beast, will hear an error sound". That tells the Beast exactly where you are.

5. Open an Exit Door. Every map has two. It takes 12 seconds to open one, and "opening progress does not save." The wiki adds: "If the Beast goes through them, nothing happens."

6. If you get hit, flop. A hit Survivor ragdolls for about 28 seconds and can still squirm. The Beast tries to carry you to a Freeze Pod.

7. Free your friends. A Survivor in a pod freezes after 50 seconds. Another Survivor must press E (X on Xbox) next to the pod. The first rescuer gets 20 credits and 100 XP.

Flee the Facility tips that save rounds

Stack up on one computer. The wiki's table is the best tip in the game.

Desk note: Three Survivors on one computer finish it in 20 seconds with 2 skill checks. Three Survivors on three computers take 64 seconds each with 6 checks apiece. Three computers done as a group take 60 seconds and 6 checks, not 64 seconds and 18. That is 12 fewer chances to blow one up.

Send one rescuer, not the whole team. One player on r/fleethefacility put it simply: "If beast leaves the tube immediately its best for one person to save and the rest to hack." (Reddit, Oct 22).

Use vents and double jumps. Survivors can crawl through vents and double jump every three seconds, per the wiki. Both are ways out of a corner.

Hack the extra computer if you have time. The extra one still pays credits and XP after the exits unlock, the wiki says.

Play your own side. The developer's rules, "as of August 20, 2026", list "Teaming, Camping, & Alt-Spectating → 1 Day Temporary Ban." The rules do not spell out what counts as teaming, so the safe play is to stay on your own side.

For Beasts: know what changed. The developer's September 7 change log removed Runner's "Hit-Slowdown while Active" and cut Stalker's heartbeat radius "by 5 studs." It also added a percentage indicator to "PCs, Exits, and when Captured."

The Hollow 2026 badge and the player jump

Flee the Facility has no event listing on its Roblox page this month. It does have a badge called "The Hollow 2026". The badge was created on October 13 and last updated at 22:21 UTC on October 22. By 07:14 UTC on October 24 it had been awarded 985,404 times, 739,956 of them in the past day. One of the game's official thumbnails now carries The Hollow logo too.

That shows up in our tracker. Flee the Facility peaked at 25,893 players on October 21, at rank 36. On October 22 it peaked at 82,892, at rank 12. It was still at 80,649 on October 23.

The store, trading rules and safety

The game is free. Roblox's store data shows a VIP pass for 420 Robux, with a name tag, a badge and a "VIP Ban Hammer (does not actual ban players. its just a skin)". Credit packs run from 50 credits for 25 Robux to 4,000 for 1,700. "Increase Beast Chance" and "Decrease Beast Chance" cost 15 Robux each. Donation products go from 15 to 25,000 Robux.

Desk note: A finished computer pays 6 credits. The 1,500-credit pack costs 650 Robux, which is 250 computers of hacking. Playing is slow, but it is free.

Trading has the strictest rules. The developer lists "Scamming & Trust Testing → Permanent Ban" and a permanent ban, alts included, for "Selling or Buying Items for Robux, USD, or any other Off-Platform Goods". Roblox itself warns that it "cannot enforce deals made outside our official features."

Players also talk about manners. One high-level player wrote: "I just ignore & kill them with kindness lol. There’s too much toxicity and hostility in the community, especially towards high lvl players." (Reddit, Oct 21). Another shared a tip the wiki does not confirm: "Tip for survivor, crouch while hacking (jump on mobile) to hack faster and avoid the skill check." (Reddit).

For parents: Roblox's Parental Controls let you "set a monthly spending limit on how much money your child can spend on Roblox". The Beast-chance buttons and donations are the small Robux costs to watch.

Our take

Play it as a Survivor first, and hack as a group. A shared computer takes 20 seconds instead of 64, with a third of the skill checks. The Hollow badge was awarded 739,956 times in one day, so servers are busy this week. Skip the credit packs: 1,500 credits cost 650 Robux, or 250 computers of free hacking.
