Ride a Dino Roblox Guide: Grip, Taming and Halloween Island
TL;DR: Ride a dino, win the race to tame it, park it in a pen for cash, and train Grip so you can take bigger dinos. Spend your first sessions training Grip and filling pens; the Halloween island opened October 25 and runs to November 1. The developer lists no codes.

Grip decides everything in the Ride a Dino Roblox game, and the developer explains it better in the Robux store than on the game page. So we read both: the description, the store's own item text about machines, fuses and luck, and the Halloween Island listing that opened October 25. One warning first. There are two Roblox games called Ride a Dino, so check the creator before you follow anyone's tips or codes.
Checked Oct 24 from the game page, the developer's event listings and Roblox's store data. Fan-wiki details are marked.

Overview: what Ride a Dino is
The game is made by and Catch Them All, a Roblox group with 382,933 members on Oct 24. Watch for that name. The fan wiki warns: "Check the creator: this game is made by and Catch Them All, and its Place ID is 93523763376122." Another Ride a Dino exists, and some guide sites mix them up.
It came out on Aug 24 this year. When we read Roblox's data at 07:15 UTC on Oct 24 it had 13,650,900 visits and 390,282 favorites, 8 players per server, and Roblox filed it under Simulation, Tycoon. It was 35th on Roblox's Top Playing Now list at 07:11 UTC that day, with 38,643 players. The last update then had landed at 21:11 UTC on October 23; another followed at 19:42 UTC on October 24.
The description lists the whole game in six lines: "Leap onto a stampeding dinosaur and ride the canyon", "Train on the Dino Machines to build up your Grip", "Race through 9 wild eras: Plains, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano and more", "Tame and collect 50+ species", "Bring them home to your ranch; upgrade pens and earn cash while you ride", and "Hunt for Secret Dinos that only show up once in a while". It runs on desktop, console, mobile and tablet.

How Grip, taming and pens work in Ride a Dino Roblox
Taming is a race. Roblox's own First Tame badge reads: "Won your first race and tamed your very first dino." The Ranch Hand badge is the end of the tutorial: "you have a pen, a machine and a herd to catch." The fan wiki says you enter "from the START ZONE and follow the tutorial mount prompt".
Grip is the gate. The description says Grip comes from the Dino Machines. The fan wiki adds: "Read the target requirement before attempting a transfer." The store text spells out the machines: level 2 is "Compy", and the list climbs through Parasaurolophus, Raptor, Triceratops, Dilophosaurus, Carnotaurus, Allosaurus and T-Rex to "training machine level 10: Apex Rex". Each one "Permanently unlocks" that machine.
Multipliers only count forward. Every Grip multiplier in the store says it is "Permanent" and works "from future training reps", and that it "Does not multiply existing Grip or instant packs". So a multiplier bought late does nothing for the Grip you already trained.
Desk note: the store sells two listings per Grip multiplier. "Ride A Dino - x2 Grip" was 3 Robux on Oct 24, and "Ride A Dino: x2 Grip" was 6. Every pair we checked, up to x4096 (1,375 and 2,750 Robux), had the second one at exactly double. The descriptions match word for word.
Sizes and colors. The store's luck boost "Doubles the chance of Giant, Huge and Colossal dinosaurs and of Silver, Golden and Rainbow ones". A Fuse Machine combines "the three dinos in the machine" into the next size up: Big, Giant, Huge, then Colossal. A Colossal fuse can miss; the store's own words are "It stays a chance: if it misses, your Colossal stays as it was."
Pens pay while you are away. One product lets you "Collect x3 the money your pens earned while you were away", which tells you pens keep earning offline. The 2X Money pass (199 Robux) doubles what "your pens and tames earn while you play" but not offline earnings.

Eras and badges. The description names five of the nine eras. Roblox's badges name two more places: "Rode the stampede into the Forest" and "Rode the stampede into the Bone Badlands." Those five badges, all created October 3, show how far players get:
| Badge | What it says | Players (Oct 24) |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome, Rider! | "Joined Ride A Dino. The stampede is waiting!" | 5,045,637 |
| First Tame | "Won your first race and tamed your very first dino." | 4,710,478 |
| Into the Forest | "Rode the stampede into the Forest." | 4,399,210 |
| Ranch Hand | "Finished the lesson: you have a pen, a machine and a herd to catch." | 3,986,928 |
| Bone Badlands | "Rode the stampede into the Bone Badlands." | 3,301,530 |
Roblox counted 3,301,530 Bone Badlands awards against 5,045,637 for Welcome, Rider!, about 65%. The fan wiki says the full unlock rules for eras and Secret Dinos "remain unverified", and so do we.

Ride a Dino events: Meteor Storm and Halloween Island
Meteor Storm. The developer's listing "METEOR STORM+New Mutation" ran from 18:30 UTC on October 14 to 15:00 UTC on October 25. It promised a "NEW Magma mutation: x4 income! Only during Meteor Storm", a chance to "Dodge meteor strikes and ride through craters for Meteor Shards", and a "NEW Meteor Chest: 6 exclusive dinos, including the Divine Meteorborn". The fan wiki prints shorter dates for the storm; we go by the developer's listing.
Here is the checking story. The listing says 6 exclusive dinos, but the store's Meteor Chest says "Each holds one of seven creatures, with the odds shown on the card." We could not see the card, so we can't say what the seventh is.

Halloween Island Update. The current listing runs from 16:00 UTC on October 25 to 14:00 UTC on November 1. The developer's whole text: "The moon is full and the canyon has gone quiet. Out past the fog, a forgotten island is waking up, and it's crawling with dinos no rider has ever seen. Only the bravest will bring one home. Join the hunt this Halloween! 🎃" It names no dinos, prices or rewards. October 25 at 16:00 UTC is noon Eastern.
Ride a Dino tips, store and codes
- Train Grip from your first session. The description ties Grip to the Dino Machines, and the fan wiki ties taking a dino to meeting its requirement.
- Fill your pens before you log off. Pens earn while you are away, per the store text.
- Check the creator. "and Catch Them All", place ID 93523763376122. A guide for the other game will not match yours.
- Count before you fuse. A fuse uses three dinos and can fail.
- Hunt the Halloween island in its first days. The listing ends at 14:00 UTC on November 1.
What Robux buys. On Oct 24, Roblox's data showed 1 game pass for sale (2X Money, 199 Robux) and 85 developer products, from 3 Robux (a Grip multiplier) to 3,499 (50 Meteor Chests). They include Grip packs from "150,000 Grip" (59) to "1,000,000,000 Grip" (2,249), auras level 1 to 12 (9 to 524), six flying "Air Jurrassik" Pteranodons (99 to 1,499), three paid Revives that "Continue a lost run where you fell" (29, 59, 99), a "Starter Pack" (99) and three Magma creatures (499 to 2,499). The Starter Pack also mentions "the permanent x4 Stamina multiplier", a stat the game page never explains.
Codes. We checked the game description and the and Catch Them All group on Oct 24. Neither listed a code, the group description was empty and there was no group shout. One codes site says "No verified public codes are currently confirmed by the developers as of October 2026", then points readers to a group and game page that belong to the other Ride a Dino. The block below stays empty until this developer posts one.
Ride a Dino codes
Last checked , from the game description and the and Catch Them All group on Roblox.
Oct242026
No active codes: the developer listed none when we checked on Oct 24, 2026, 07:15 UTC.
"New" means we first saw the code on the developer's channel in the last 7 days. We copy codes from the developer and do not test them in game. No code gives free Robux. Codes for every game we track.
For parents. Roblox labels Ride a Dino Minimal, "Suitable for everyone": riding, racing and collecting. The store is the thing to watch. A 15-minute luck boost (99 Robux) works "for everyone in your server", so one player's purchase changes the odds for the whole server. Roblox's Parental Controls let a parent "set a monthly spending limit on how much money your child can spend on Roblox". Our younger kids list has more games with the same label.
Our take
Play it for the free loop of riding, taming and pens, and skip the Grip packs. The free route is plain training on the Dino Machines, and every Grip multiplier in the store only changes future reps. The store's 85 products, up to 3,499 Robux, are the catch, not the game. The Halloween island is the reason to log in this week: it runs 16:00 UTC October 25 to November 1. What we don't know yet: which dinos the island adds and what the seventh Meteor Chest creature is.

How we checked this
We read the game's data, description, group, age label, event listings, game passes, developer products and badges through a public mirror of Roblox's official APIs at 07:15 UTC on October 24, 2026, and Roblox's Top Playing Now chart at 07:11 UTC. Mechanics come from the developer's own words: the description, the event listings, the badge texts and the store item descriptions. The tutorial steps, the Grip requirement and the warning about the other game come from the fan wiki rideadino.wiki, which is unofficial; the codes note comes from another fan site, ride-a-dino.wiki. The Arctic Shift archive timed out on Oct 24 and returned an error on Oct 25, so there is no Reddit quote yet. On Oct 25 we re-read the game data, event listings, store and badges. We did not play the game. All 33 sources are in our source file. Last reviewed October 24, 2026.
