Grow a Garden Ghoul Garden 2: Oct 24 to 31, Pets and Prices

TL;DR: Part 2 runs from 20:30 UTC on October 24 to 20:00 UTC on October 31. Spend your first Candy Corn on the 1,500 Haunted Egg, not the 30,000 Eyeball Monster, and feed the Black Cat for free Haunted Seed Packs.

Ghoul Garden 2 opens on October 24 at 20:30 UTC and runs one week, to October 31. Grow a Garden Ghoul Garden Part 2 keeps the Candy Corn shop and adds new pets, Trick-or-Treating and spooky weather, per the fan wiki. If you skipped Part 1, the cheap first step is still the same: fill the Witch's Brew and grow Halloween plants.

Checked Oct 24 from The Garden Game's Roblox listings, before Part 2 opened. Fan-wiki details are marked.

What parents need to know:

  • Roblox labels Grow a Garden Minimal, "Suitable for everyone". Roblox says Minimal "May contain occasional mild violence, light unrealistic blood, and/or occasional mild fear."
  • Halloween Market items on the fan wiki carry Robux prices too, from 59 to 1,299 Robux. The store sells Exotic Haunted Seed Packs at 199 Robux, or 1,699 for ten.
  • Grow a Garden is part of Roblox's The Hollow event, per its official thumbnail and the fan wiki. Roblox's Parental Controls let you "set a monthly spending limit on how much money your child can spend on Roblox".

Key Takeaways

  • Dates: Part 1 ran October 17 to 24. Part 2 runs 20:30 UTC October 24 to 20:00 UTC October 31 (4:30 PM to 4 PM Eastern).
  • Currency: Candy Corn, from the Witch's Brew cauldron (fan wiki).
  • Egg to aim for: the Haunted Egg, 1,500 Candy Corn. Its best pet, the Haunted Knight, is 0.5%.
  • Part 2 (fan wiki, not confirmed): Evil Penguin, Gremlin and Pumpkin Ghoul, plus Trick-or-Treating.
  • The Hollow: Sweet Fortune, the badge for 500 Candy Corn, counts for Roblox's event.

What Happened: Grow a Garden Ghoul Garden Part 1

The first listing promised "a new Halloween garden, new currency, new plants, pets, gear, rewards". It went live at 20:30 UTC on October 17. The second, "GHOUL GARDEN 2", promises "brand new activities to participate in, return of spooky weather, new pets, plants, rewards". After it, a listing called "NEXT UPDATE" with the subtitle "???" starts on October 31.

The fan wiki's Halloween Event 2026 page, which is unofficial, explains Part 1:

  • The Ghoul Garden. You can switch your garden to a Ghoul Garden. "Only Halloween plants can be placed there; non-Halloween crops, pets, and eggs are not allowed."
  • The Halloween Market. It sells for Candy Corn, Robux or Trade Tokens and restocks every 5 minutes. Seeds run from the Candy Corn Carrot (10 Candy Corn) to the Haunted Hallow (50,000).
  • The Witch's Brew. You fill a cauldron with Halloween fruit, and "Higher-Tier fruit will give more points." Contributors get 5 to 10 Candy Corn, and a 16.67% chance each at a Haunted Egg, Haunted Crate or Halloween Gear Box.
  • The Black Cat. It wants three plants per set and pays a Haunted Seed Pack. After 15 sets, the cycle resets. Set 15 pays an Exotic Haunted Seed Pack.

The thumbnail above carries the logo of The Hollow, Roblox's own Halloween event. The fan wiki says gathering 500 Candy Corn earns the "Sweet Fortune" badge, "Part of Roblox's The Hollow Event". Roblox's badge data shows Sweet Fortune awarded 529,864 times, 208,217 of them in the past day, as of 07:14 UTC on October 24.

What Part 2 Adds, as Far as We Know

The developer's listing is the only official word on Part 2, and it names no items. The fan wiki has a spoiler section "for the second part of the Halloween Event 2026". It lists three pets (Evil Penguin, Gremlin and Pumpkin Ghoul), Witch Fingers and Gaze Berry seeds, a Ghoul Super Seed and a Haunted Trading Booth.

One item already shows up officially. The game's store added "+1 Ghoul Super Seed" for 199 Robux on October 21.

Trick-or-Treating is the new activity on the wiki. You pay Candy Corn, get a random reward, and wait 8 hours for the next one. The wiki lists its rewards as "To be determined". The weather it names is Full Moon and Bat Attack.

What we don't know yet: Part 2's prices, the new pets' rarities and the Trick-or-Treating rewards. Part 2 opens after our check.

Why It Matters

Big updates bring big crowds to Grow a Garden, then the crowds leave fast.

Desk note: Our tracker had Grow a Garden at 22,114 players at peak on October 16. On Part 1's launch day it hit 100,577 and rank 16. The next day it fell to 32,326, and on October 24 its peak was 24,230 by 07:11 UTC.

Bar chart of Grow a Garden daily peak players from October 10 to 24, 2026, with spikes near 100,000 on October 10 and October 17 Chart: ObbyDesk, from our Top Playing Now readings (UTC days; October 24 is a partial day)

So expect busy servers on October 24 and quieter ones after. For Candy Corn, the cauldron is the steady route.

Desk note: The Eyeball Monster costs 30,000 Candy Corn. At 5 to 10 Candy Corn per cauldron fill as a regular contributor, that is 3,000 to 6,000 fills. With a 2-minute cooldown between fills, that is at least 100 hours. Its Robux price is 599.

The Haunted Egg is the realistic goal. It costs 1,500 Candy Corn and hatches in 4 hours, per the wiki. Its odds are Skull Snail 55%, Lantern Wisp 35%, Gargoyle 9.5% and Haunted Knight 0.5%.

The Black Cat is the free route. Set 1 asks for two Candy Corn Carrots and a Spider Shrub, which are the two cheapest seeds. A Haunted Seed Pack gives a Candy Corn Carrot 31% of the time and a Spider Shrub 22%.

Worth it? The Haunted Egg: Yes. 1,500 Candy Corn for a 4-hour hatch, with a 9.5% shot at a mythical Gargoyle. The Eyeball Monster: Skip unless you grind daily, since 30,000 Candy Corn is at least 100 hours of cauldron fills.

  • If you're new: switch to the Ghoul Garden, plant Candy Corn Carrots and do Black Cat set 1.
  • If you're grinding: keep the cauldron full and save for Part 2's pets until their prices are known.
  • For parents: Market items list Robux prices on the fan wiki, and a spending limit covers Robux.

What players are saying

Players on r/growagarden are split. The most upvoted comment we found was blunt: "This is, by far, the most boring and tedious event since Jhai returned. There is simply no incentive to play it." (Reddit, Oct 18). Others share fixes. One says "Regular sprinklers work now in the Ghoul Garden. They patched them in in the latest servers yesterday." (Reddit). That matters, because the wiki's sprinkler rule is unclear. On Part 2's pets, one player picks a favorite: "Gremlin's probably the only one of these new pets which will be useful." (Reddit).

Our take on Grow a Garden Ghoul Garden 2

Play Part 2 for the Haunted Egg and Black Cat packs; skip the 30,000 Candy Corn pets. The egg costs 1,500 Candy Corn, and the Black Cat pays seed packs for plants you already grow. Part 2 lasts only one week, to October 31, so pick one goal.
