Violence District Halloween 2026: Butcher, Ranked, Nov 21

TL;DR: The update runs to November 21 and promises The Butcher, Ranked mode, a new map, a new item, new perks and new skins. Nothing in the listing has a price, but the store switched on its Candy packs, Skip Tier products and a 449-Robux Butcher Pack by Oct 25.

Four weeks, not a weekend: Violence District Halloween 2026 runs from 12:00 UTC on October 24 to 13:00 UTC on November 21, per the developer's own listing on Roblox. The first thing on its list is "The Butcher", and the developer has not said what that is. If you play mostly as a survivor, the lines to watch are the new perks and the Ranked mode.

Checked Oct 24 from the developer's event listing and Roblox's store data, and again on Oct 25 after the start. Fan-wiki details are marked.

What parents need to know:

  • Roblox labels Violence District Mild, with "Blood (Light/Unrealistic)", "Fear (Occasional/Mild)" and "Violence (Repeated/Mild)".
  • The store sells currency packs, EXP boosts and "+15 SIN" (150 Robux), described as "Increases your killer chance". Two newer products, "Butcher Pack" (449) and "Street Pack" (299), were on sale by Oct 25, along with Candy packs from 80 to 1,600 Robux.
  • It is a horror chase game: one killer hunts five survivors. Roblox's Parental Controls let a parent "set a monthly spending limit on how much money your child can spend on Roblox".

Key Takeaways

What Happened

The developer, VIOLENCE DISTRICT, a verified Roblox group with 681,703 members on Oct 24, posted the event listing "The Butcher X Halloween" on Roblox on October 15, subtitled "new spooky content update". The full text is a list:

It ends with "and more...". Roblox shows the start as 12:00 UTC on October 24, which is 8 AM Eastern and 5 AM Pacific, and the end as 13:00 UTC on November 21. That is 28 days, and three of those weeks fall after Halloween itself.

Roblox's data showed the game's last update at 23:22 UTC on October 23, the eve of the event, then another at 00:16 UTC on October 25. Its Roblox page still reads "GAME IS IN ALPHA, EXPECT BUGS AND CHANGES". On Oct 24 the title still carried a "[CURE]" tag; by Oct 25 it read "[BUTCHER x 🎃] Violence District". The fan wiki says The Cure is a killer that "arrived with Violence District's May 2026 SCP-themed update", at "15,000 Screws", so that tag was older than this event. Our Violence District Roblox guide explains generators, pallets and the eight killers on the wiki's list.

Why It Matters

Violence District is one of the bigger horror games on Roblox: 1,612,773,413 visits and 1,702,134 favorites on Oct 24, with servers of 6 (five survivors, one killer). The listing names a Ranked game mode but does not say how Ranked works or what it rewards.

The store, before the start. At 07:15 UTC on Oct 24, Roblox's data listed 32 developer products, 20 of them for sale: Screws from "500 screws" (15 Robux) to "50,000 screws" (1,500), Emblems from 50 to 1,000 Robux, Ornaments from 89 to 890, EXP boosts from 49 to 549 and a "Starter Pack" (149). The two game passes were "V.I.P" (599) and "2x Emotes" (149). Not for sale: "400 Candy" to "14,500 Candy", "Skip 1 Tier" to "Skip 3 Tiers" (all created October 8), and "Butcher Pack" and "Street Pack" (created October 16). The developer has not said what the Skip Tier products skip. Roblox's data shows all nine updated at 11:16 to 11:17 UTC on Oct 24, 43 minutes before the start, and on Oct 25 all nine were for sale: Candy at 80, 320, 640 and 1,600 Robux, Skip Tiers at 149, 279 and 399, the Butcher Pack at 449 and the Street Pack at 299.

Desk note: the Candy packs were on sale when we first read the store on Oct 11, were off by Oct 19, were still off at 07:15 UTC on Oct 24, and were back by Oct 25, again from 80 to 1,600 Robux. Our math: 14,500 Candy for 1,600 Robux is about 9 Candy per Robux, and 400 Candy for 80 is 5. The listing still does not say what Candy buys.

Last year, per the fan wiki. A second fan wiki says the 2025 Halloween event let players spend "a specific seasonal currency", "Candies", "to unlock exclusive killer skins and emotes". That was last year; the 2026 listing does not name a currency.

The only badge. The game has one Roblox badge, "VD x MEDAL" ("Rewarded for those who have completed the ingame medal quest!"), held by 914,114 players on Oct 24. Nothing in the Halloween listing mentions a new one.

Our take

Play the new map and perks first, and skip Candy packs until the developer says what Candy buys. The listing names nine changes and prices none of them, yet four Candy packs (80 to 1,600 Robux) and a 449-Robux Butcher Pack were on sale by Oct 25. With 28 days of event, there is no rush in week one. What we don't know yet: what The Butcher is, what Ranked rewards, and what Candy (if it returns) buys. For parents, the Mild label and the "+15 SIN" product are the two things to look at before saying yes.

How we checked this

We read the game's data, description, group, age label, event listings, game passes, developer products and badges through a public mirror of Roblox's official APIs at 07:15 UTC on October 24, 2026, and Roblox's Top Playing Now chart at 07:11 UTC. We re-read the game data, store, age label, listing and badge at 03:50 UTC on October 25, after the start. The Cure and 2025 Halloween details come from two unofficial fan wikis, reused from our Violence District guide's source file, where they were read on October 11. A Halloween tracker site (endgametools.com) lists the same dates. We could not find a Reddit thread about the update before it started, and the Arctic Shift archive timed out on Oct 24, so there is no player quote yet. We did not play the update. All 30 sources are in our source file. Last reviewed October 24, 2026.
