We pulled that chart and Roblox's live player data at 05:02 UTC on October 10, 2026, then kept 17 games that are built for groups and rated Minimal or Mild by Roblox.

TL;DR: For a big group, start with 99 Nights in the Forest (25 per server, 249,570 players when checked) or Dandy's World (35 per server). For two people, Carry the Glass Together! is made for exactly two. For a quick laugh, Finish The Word! and Guess the Song! run short rounds. We started from Roblox's own data rather than a list of favourites.

Roblox's Fun with Friends chart describes itself like this: experiences "with at least 5000 users daily, sorted by the proportion of time spent as groups of friends." It adds that the order "is subject to the device and location filters applied to this page." We read the version served to a computer with no country filter. It had 85 games in it. We added the group games from Roblox's Top Playing Now chart (99 games), because a few of the biggest co-op games did not show up in our Fun with Friends view.

Then we applied four rules:

1. Built for groups. The game's own description has to talk about friends, teams, co-op or shared play. "Fun with others" in a review doesn't count; the developer's words do.
2. Rated Minimal or Mild. We read each game's maturity label and content descriptors from Roblox's age recommendation data. Roblox labeled 17 of the 85 games on the Fun with Friends chart Moderate, including Da Hood, Criminality and Murder Mystery 2, and those were left out on that basis alone.
3. Still alive. Every pick was updated in the 30 days before our check. The oldest last update belongs to Natural Disaster Survival (September 17, 2026).
4. Somebody is playing. We give the player count from Roblox's game data at 05:02 UTC on October 10, 2026. It's a snapshot, not a live counter.

These are the best picks when you want everyone on the same side.

1. 99 Nights in the Forest (Grandma's Favourite Games). The official description is three short lines: "Build a camp with friends. Something is watching you." Fan wikis fill in the rest: you keep a campfire burning, rescue four missing children and hide from the Deer at night. A server holds 25 players, and it had 249,570 people playing when we checked, third on Roblox's Top Playing Now chart. Roblox rates it Minimal, with occasional mild fear and occasional mild violence. Best for groups that like a long game with jobs to split up. One caveat: it is a night-time survival game with a monster, so very young players may find it tense.

2. Dandy's World (BlushCrunch Studio). The game calls itself "a Mascot Horror Survival Multiplayer game where you must team up with fellow Toons to complete machines and descend deeper into Gardenview Center." Servers hold 35, and 183,520 people were playing. Roblox rates it Mild, with light unrealistic blood, repeated mild fear and occasional mild violence. Best for friends who talk a lot while they play. 3. Tower Defense Simulator (Paradoxum Games). "Place units to defend against hordes of zombies! Team up with friends and face against even stronger bosses to unlock new units!" Up to 50 players per server, 22,770 playing, rated Minimal with occasional mild violence. Its latest notes list version 2.14.0, "Solar Requiem Night I Release." Best for strategy fans; it's slower and calmer than the survival games above.

4. Build A Boat For Treasure (Chillz Studios). "Build your ship and set sail for your adventure!" Seven players per server and 12,961 playing. Roblox rates it Minimal, with occasional mild violence. It has been around since November 2, 2016, and it was updated on October 9, 2026. Best for builders who like to plan a boat together and see how far it gets.

5. Natural Disaster Survival (Stickmasterluke). Created March 28, 2008, it is the oldest game here, and its whole description is one line: "Quickly, run around in circles! Your life depends on it!" Thirty players per server, 8,969 playing, rated Minimal and "Suitable for everyone." Rounds are short, so it works for friends who only have ten minutes.

It was the most played game on this list by far: 390,142 people at our check, second on Top Playing Now, with 30 per server. Rated Minimal and "Suitable for everyone." The latest update is a "Hospital Refresh" with "8 New Hospital Tools!" Best for friends who like to act things out. Private servers add extras like prop saving and server-wide music, per the page.

7. Adopt Me! (Uplift Games). "Adopt and raise 🐶🦄👶, trade and collect legendary pets, build your dream home, and roleplay with friends!" Up to 35 per server, 220,704 playing, rated Minimal and "Suitable for everyone." 9. Berry Avenue (Amberry Games). "A place to roleplay, hang out and explore!" The page lists jobs like working at the grocery store or treating patients at the hospital. Thirty-one per server, 29,396 playing, rated Minimal and "Suitable for everyone." Best for groups who already like Brookhaven and want a different town.

10. Volleyball Legends (Volleyball Game Group). "FAST-PACED 6v6 Volleyball. Play a pickup Volleyball game with friends OR challenge anyone in a RANKED match." Twelve per server, 51,898 playing, rated Minimal and "Suitable for everyone." The page says new updates come "weekly Saturdays at 11:30am EST." Best for a group of six.

11. BedWars (Easy.gg). "Protect your bed. Once it's gone, you can no longer respawn!" You gather resources, buy team upgrades and try to break the other teams' beds. Up to 40 per server, 33,588 playing, rated Minimal with occasional mild violence. The page lists more than ten modes and says updates arrive every Friday at 3:00pm PDT. Best for competitive friends who want a clear goal.

Chill games: fish, talk, repeat

12. Fish It! (Fish Atelier). "Collect from 1,000,000+ variations 🎣 Fish with your friends. Or just sail the seas and explore." Twenty per server, 74,257 playing, and 26th on the Fun with Friends chart. Rated Minimal and "Suitable for everyone." The controls are two clicks ("Click to charge up," then "Click as fast as you can!"), so anyone can join in. Best for friends who want to chat more than compete.

13. Finish The Word! (Table Game X). A word-chain game: "say a word that starts with the last letter of the word before it." The page's own example is "Poodle -> Elephant -> Turtle!" The page promises "250+ songs you already know" and says you can "Challenge friends or other players." Sixteen per server, 2,899 playing, rated Minimal. Created August 31, 2026.

15. Epic Minigames (Typical Games). "A collection of 142 unique and exciting minigames," plus Epic Party, "a board game where you can compete against a group of friends or strangers." Twelve per server, 2,117 playing. Roblox rates it Mild because of repeated mild violence. It dates back to July 29, 2015.

16. Regretevator (The Axolotl Sun). "A random style elevator puzzle game where you can hang out, look for secrets, and have fun." Ten per server, 1,736 playing, rated Minimal with occasional mild fear and occasional mild violence. The page says it gets a "New Update WEEKLY!" Best for friends who like weird surprises.

Two-player obbies

17. Carry the Glass Together! (Ritronics Studios). "Carry the glass through a dangerous obstacle course... a 2 player co-op obby where you and a friend must protect a fragile pane all the way to the top." The page lists "2-PLAYER CO-OP you can't do it alone," "FRAGILE GLASS one wrong move and it shatters," and checkpoints, so a broken pane does not send you back to the start. It ranked fifth on the Fun with Friends chart, with 5,534 playing and a Minimal label. The developer says it is "an early beta made by a passionate solo developer," so expect changes. It also works on console with a controller, per the page.

Scary Roblox games to play with friends

Some of the most played group games on Roblox are horror games. Four of them were on the Fun with Friends chart or near the top of Top Playing Now when we checked, and all four are rated Mild:

• Violence District: "5 survivors have to survive against a killer." 63,374 playing, 6 per server.
• Forsaken: survivors "Protect your teammates, complete the objectives, and survive until the timer hits 0." 53,533 playing, 9 per server.
• DOORS: "A horror game involving doors," up to 50 per server, 38,072 playing.
• Flee the Facility: "Run from the beast, unlock the exits, and flee the facility!" 5 per server, 14,379 playing.

Honorable mentions (and why they missed)

• Murder Mystery 2: 161,505 players and 25th on Fun with Friends, but rated Moderate (light realistic blood, repeated moderate violence).
• Creatures of Sonaria: its page says "Hang out and socialize with friends" and "Group with others and battle as a team," and it fits 75 per server, the most here. It missed because the description centres on growing one creature and surviving "for food and water," with group play as one feature among many.
• Steal An Egg: the most played game on Roblox at our check, but you steal eggs from other players. It is fun with friends in the same server, not built around a team.
• Grapple Cart Obby: "[1 & 2 PLAYER]" in its name and 6,931 playing, but its page had no description, so we couldn't check what it is.

One player's advice lines up with the chart. Asked for games to play with friends in February 2026, one r/roblox user suggested Dandy's World "since it heavily relies on teamwork and communication (use stickers to communicate)" (u/Mysterious_Neat_5652, Feb 9, 2026).
