The game opens with a pitch: "You're offered a LARGE sum of MONEY to cut down all the trees in a forest, will you do it?" It is made by WCT Capital, a Roblox group with 807,206 members on Oct 24, whose group page plays along with the joke: "WCT Capital turns forests into premium apartment towers. A tree is just a building that hasn't been told yet."
Roblox lists it as created on September 21, 2026. At 07:15 UTC on Oct 24 it had 24,849,644 visits and 92,468 favorites, servers of 18, and the name "[CH2] 🪵 Chop A Forest". It was 41st on Roblox's Top Playing Now list at 07:11 UTC that day, with 35,089 players, and 12th on Roblox's trending list. The description adds "SOLO & FRIEND RUNS SAVE!"

How a run works in Chop A Forest Roblox
Tools. You buy tools with the Coins your logs sell for. Roblox's badges trace the order most players follow: "Buy the Axe." (8,702,221 players), "Buy the Log Vacuum." (4,298,151), "Buy the Dynamite." (920,865) and "Buy the Chainsaw." (838,184). Tool prices inside a run are not on any developer page we could read, so we leave them out.
Classes and Gems. The developer's store text says Gems are "to spend on classes and perks", and that daily rewards and "mutated trees" pay Gems. Classes rotate: a "Class Restock" product deals "a fresh set of class cards right now, until the next restock". Two guide sites say the stock turns over about every five minutes. The Gem prices and perks below come from allthings.how (unofficial); the fan wiki chop-a-forest.wiki gives the same 180 Gems and perks for Lumberjack. The Robux column is the developer's own price to unlock a class "for good - no need to wait for it to come into stock".

The Clawman pass "Unlocks the Wolverine class and its claws". Every class on this list can also be bought with Gems when it shows up in stock, which is the free route.
Speed matters. A forest can take hours. Roblox's speed badges are for clearing one in under 3 hours (Speedrunner, 407,772 players), under 2 hours (Speed Demon, 188,937) and under 90 minutes (Timber Tornado, 53,734). That is why saved runs matter.

Desk note: 484,184 Forest Cleared badges against 12,310,269 Welcome badges is about 4%. Only 13,093 have Desert Cleared, about 1 in 37 of the forest clearers. The rarest badge, Legendary Logger ("Fell 10,000 trees."), has 2,968. That is a lot of trees per player.

Four desert badges arrived on October 19 with Chapter 2. Desert Cleared asks you to "Clear every cactus in the desert and hit the detonator." Then come the timed ones: Dune Runner (under 4 hours, 12,374 players), Sandstorm (under 2 hours 30 minutes, 6,867) and Desert Tornado (under 2 hours, 3,511). When we checked on the morning of Oct 24, the developer had not said what the "NEW MACHINE" is, or what the Halloween update adds; that listing's description was three question marks.
Chop A Forest tips for your first run
- Play with friends if you can. Runs save for "SOLO & FRIEND" play, and a forest can take hours.
- Buy the Log Vacuum early. After the Axe it is the tool the most players have bought: 4,298,151, about a third of everyone who joined.
- Check the class cards every restock. Classes rotate, so the one you want may come back.
- Save Gems for a class you will keep. The store sells class unlocks "for good", which means the in-game card is the free route.
- Go for Forest Cleared before speed badges. Clear one forest, then race the clock.

What Robux buys. At 07:15 UTC on Oct 24, Roblox's data showed 17 game passes for sale, from "Glock-18 Forever" (29) to "Clawman Class" (1,499), and 63 developer products. Passes give a tool "in every run you play" ("Axe Forever" 79, "Chainsaw Forever" 249, "Big Saw Forever" 799), double Coins or Gems (199 each), a "Lumberjack Bot" that "chops trees, picks up the wood and sells it" (400), and better egg odds ("Hatch Luck" 149). Products include one-run tools (from 19), "Molten Egg" packs (99 to 849) and gem packs up to "Gem Hoard" (1,499). Most items also got a "GIFT" copy on October 18 or 19.
Codes. We checked the game description and the WCT Capital group on Oct 24. Neither listed a code and the group had no shout. A fan wiki found no confirmed code either: "No redeem code was confirmed in the inspected official page and gameplay sources". The block below stays empty until the developer posts one.

For parents. Roblox labels Chop A Forest Minimal, "Suitable for everyone". Two things to know. Three passes name real-world guns, "Glock-18 Forever", "AK-47 Forever" and "Minigun Forever", for use "in every boss fight". And the store adds a gift version of most items, so a child can buy for friends. Roblox's Parental Controls let a parent "set a monthly spending limit on how much money your child can spend on Roblox". Our few-purchases list has games with smaller stores.
Our take
Play it with a friend and finish one forest before you buy a single Forever pass. Only about 4% of players have cleared a forest, so the first full run is the real goal, and runs save, so it can take a few evenings. The run-tool Forever passes cost 79 to 799 Robux each and only matter once you know your favorite tool. What we don't know yet: what the Halloween update and the "NEW MACHINE" add.
