One r/roblox thread made the same comparison: "What did "fish it!" do that "fisch" didn't to achive that much concurrent users?" (Reddit, Apr 9, 2026). Fish It Roblox guide: your first session, step by step
- Do the first quest. games.gg says your "first spawn point is Fisherman Island (also called Stingray Shores)" and that "An NPC immediately gives you your first quest: catch any two fish."
- Charge for the good zones. Hold to fill the luck meter and let go in the perfect or amazing zone.
- Sell, then buy. The guide's advice: "head straight to the shop and sell your catch. Use those coins to buy better rods and bobbers immediately." It also says "Sell fish regularly. Holding onto fish doesn't earn you anything."
- Don't overspend early. "Matching your rod tier to the islands you're actively fishing is more efficient than overspending on gear you can't fully utilize."
- Open the Fishing Journal. This is new as of October 11 (see below), and it gives each island a clear list of tasks.
What the October 11 update added
The October 11 listing, "ESOTERIC EXPANSION", ran from 01:00 UTC on October 11 to 01:00 UTC on October 15, 2026, with the subtitle "NEW SKIN CRATE + SECRET". Per the listing:
- Esoteric Grove: "A new area has opened within Esoteric Depths! Added 12 new fish", plus "the new SECRET Spiritborn Axolotl".
- Fishing Journal: "Speak with the Island Guide NPC to begin 6 island-specific tasks that are completed alongside normal progression." Finish them and you "earn that island’s unique Gemstone!"
- Exalted Skin Crate: "The new Exalted Skin Crate has arrived with 5 new Premium Rod Skins!", including "the first ever FORGOTTEN Tier Rod Skin".
- Squid Charm: "Boosts Giant Squid chances!"
- A teaser: "A strange pumpkin has appeared off the coast of Fisherman Island..." with the note "Interact with it for a sneak peek at what’s coming next. 👀"

The update before that, "BOSS FIGHTS" (October 4 to 8), added an ocean boss. Its listing said, in its own words, "Charybdis appears every Tuesday at 8AM EST and Thursday at 8PM EST", and that you can "Defeat Charybdis 10 times to earn the exclusive New Mawbound Rod Skin!" It also added an Alien Invasion admin event: "Aliens invade the area, granting 200,000 Luck for 20 minutes."

The next update, codes and safety
Next update (preview). Roblox's event listing for Fish It is now titled "🎃 HALLOWEEN UPDATE", with the subtitle "NEW ISLAND + EVENT" and the description "MORE DETAILS SOON." It runs from 01:00 UTC on October 18, 2026 to 01:00 UTC on October 22, which is 9 PM US Eastern on October 17 to 9 PM Eastern on October 21. It replaced a blank "NEXT UPDATE!" listing on Oct 16. The pumpkin teaser from the October 11 update fits the theme, but the developer has not said what the island or the event contains, so we won't guess.
Codes. We checked the game description and the Fish Atelier group on October 16, 2026. The group description is just "🐟🐟🐟🐟" and its shout was empty, and neither listed a code. Roblox would not show us the game's social links without a login, so we could not prove a developer X, Discord or Trello account. Fan sites post codes for this game, but we only publish codes the developer posted, so the block below is empty.

Safety. Roblox labels Fish It Minimal, its lowest maturity label, with the descriptor "Suitable for everyone". The October 11 update added a skin crate with "Premium Rod Skins", and the listing does not say what it costs. Roblox's Parental Controls say "You can set a monthly spending limit on how much money your child can spend on Roblox, including Robux or subscriptions to individual games." Based on the game page, the developer's event listings and the games.gg guide cited above, Fish It is an easy game to pick up: two clicks to fish, a shop to sell in, and now a Fishing Journal that tells you what to do on each island. Spend coins on gear that matches your island before you buy anything big. The Halloween listing starts 9 PM Eastern on October 17 and names only "NEW ISLAND + EVENT", so check the game that night rather than trusting item lists posted before it. With 20 players per server and a "Fish with your friends" pitch, it also appears in our games to play with friends list.
