This Fisch beginner guide covers what a new player needs in the first hour: how a cast works, step by step from the developer's own page, what the fan wikis say about your first rod and money, and when the Halloween event FischFright 3 is listed to begin. Fisch was the fourth most played game on Roblox when ObbyDesk's tracker read the Top Playing Now list at 15:19 UTC on October 10, 2026, with 401,688 players.

TL;DR: Hold to cast, shake the rod while you wait, then hold or click to keep the white bar on the blue line until the bar fills. You start with a free rod and sell fish for C$. FischFright 3 is listed from October 17 at noon Eastern. No codes are on the developer's Roblox pages as of October 10, 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • The game: "the ultimate fishing adventure where exploration and progression are yours to control", per the description.
  • Fish: "each with 400,000+ possible variations".
  • Event: FischFright 3, a "Limited Halloween Event", is listed from October 17 to November 9, 2026.
  • Age label: Minimal, suitable for everyone.
  • Codes: none on the game page or group as of October 10, 2026.

Overview: what Fisch is

Fisch is made by the Fisching group. Roblox's games API dates it to March 13, 2024, and the Fandom wiki says its release came on October 5, 2024. Servers hold 20 players. At 15:39 UTC on October 10, 2026, it had 432,205 people playing, 4,998,167,506 visits and 3,671,642 favorites, and the Fisching group had 6,150,226 members.

The description sets the tone: "Cast your line to catch rare and unique fish" and "Explore a growing world with your trusty rod, and maybe even reel in some new friends along the way!"

Analysis: how to fish, step by step

The game page has a short "[How To Fish]" section. Here it is, step by step, with what each line means for a beginner.

1. Cast. "Hold down to cast your bobber." That is the whole first step.

2. Wait, and shake. "Await a bite. You can "shake" your rod to attract fish faster." Shaking is the one thing you do while waiting, so do not just stand there.

3. Reel. "When you have a bite, hold down or click to pull the white bar. Follow the blue line to the best of your ability; it's okay to mess up a few times!" This is the part that takes practice. You are keeping a white bar on top of a moving blue line.

4. Land it. "When the progress bar on the bottom is full, you'll reel in your catch!"

The developer's own wording matters here: "it's okay to mess up a few times". A miss early in the reel is not the end of the catch.

GODEEPER: Fisch was one of four games with more than 400,000 players when our tracker read the chart at 15:19 UTC on October 10. See how the whole top 25 ranks. Most Played Roblox Games Right Now: Top 25 by Live Players →

Your first rod and your first C$

The developer's page does not explain money or gear, so this part comes from fan wikis and is labelled that way.

  • Starter rod. Fischipedia lists the "Flimsy Rod" with the source "Joining the game" and a price of "0 C$". You get it free.
  • Selling. The Fandom wiki says "Fish can otherwise be sold to merchants for C$ - the main currency, which can be used to buy items such as fishing rods, bait, and boats."
  • Where to fish. The same wiki says "Players can begin fishing by equipping their fishing rod and standing near water."

So the loop for a new player is short: catch with the Flimsy Rod, sell to a merchant, save C$ for a better rod or bait.

The game page leaves a lot for players to work out, which is why fan guides exist. Under a newcomer guide on r/FischRoblox, one player wrote: "It’s very sad this doesnt have more upvotes cuz this is an amazing guide I wish I had" (u/BootInfamous8940, Nov 1, 2025).

Fisch beginner guide to FischFright 3 and codes

FischFright 3. Roblox's event listing for Fisch shows "FischFright 3" with the subtitle "Limited Halloween Event". The text reads: "Fisch's annual limited Halloween event is coming back for its third time, and it's going to be bigger and spookier than ever..." The listing runs from October 17, 2026 at 16:00 UTC (noon US Eastern) to November 9, 2026 at 17:00 UTC (noon Eastern, after the clocks change).

The event had not started when we checked, and the listing does not say what is in it, so we are not guessing at fish or rods. For a sense of timing, Fischipedia says the first FischFright ran from October 18 to November 3, 2024, and FischFright 2 from October 18 to November 3, 2025. This year's listing starts a day earlier and runs six days longer.

Players know these events do not wait. Asked why the Fisch team keeps running limited events, one r/FischRoblox player answered: "people love limited stuff. There's been multiple polls ran about it iirc and most of the time people were like "yeah make it limited to only 1 hr" and such, shrug." (u/Brrrrtzzzz, Oct 8, 2026). If FischFright 3 matters to you, plan to play during the window.

Codes. We checked the game description and the Fisching group, and the group had no shout. No code was listed on either as of October 10, 2026. Fischipedia says codes "are announced in the official Discord server for Fisch", which we could not read. Code sites list dozens of codes, but none of those were on a developer channel we could open, so we list none.

Fisch codes

Last checked , from the game description and the Fisching group on Roblox.

Oct102026

No active codes: the developer listed none when we checked on Oct 10, 2026.

"New" means we first saw the code on the developer's channel in the last 7 days. We copy codes from the developer and do not test them in game. No code gives free Robux. Codes for every game we track.

Watch out for copies: a separate game also named Fisch, made by a different creator, shows up in Roblox search. The real one is place 16732694052 by Fisching.

Our take

Based on the developer's page and the event listing, Fisch is an easy game to start and a slow one to master. The four official steps are all you need for your first catches, and the free Flimsy Rod plus selling for C$ is the whole early loop, per the fan wikis. Spend the week before October 17 learning the reel and saving C$, so you can make the most of FischFright 3 when it opens. How we checked this

We read Fisch's game data, description, group, age label and event listing through a mirror of Roblox's official API on October 10, 2026, and used ObbyDesk's own reading of Roblox's Top Playing Now chart from 15:19 UTC. Rod, money and past event dates come from the Fandom wiki and Fischipedia, both secondary. Reddit comments were read in a browser. All 51 sources are in our source file.
