How Hatch Wars works
The October 3 post sums the update up as "LUCK IS YOUR WEAPON!"
- Hatch Battles. "Face a boss in a head-to-head Hatch Battle!" Both sides hatch, "and the rarer pets WIN!" Tap the glowing circles mid-battle for a luck combo. "Win to open the next zone, and keep every pet."
- Giant Pumpkin. Feed your spare pets to your own Giant Pumpkin. Golden, Rainbow and Shiny pets make it grow "WAY faster". As it grows, Stalk Eggs sprout "with up to 3x HUGE odds", and smashing it open gives Lucky Bursts.
- Eggs and Candy. There are 4 new eggs, "one in every zone", hatched with the Candy you earn from breaking things. The post adds 12 new pets.
- Team Orange vs Team Blue. Teams compete "across every server, every 4 hours!" and "Win or lose, both teams fire Luck, Huge, or Coins buffs!"
- Luck Flames. Winning the final Hatch Battle lights a flame. "Win 3 in a row for MASSIVE stacked luck!", but "One loss puts them all out".
The rarest pet in the notes is the Mothman: "Hatch the Mothman at 1 in 4,000,000,000, if you dare!" The Gargantuan Mothman "only hatches in the final Hatch Battle", and BIG Games says "Just a handful will crawl out". The post also adds Auto Battle with a coin floor so it "never overspends", and Spooky Wands for 6 upgrades at the Upgrade Machine.
What the Blood Moon adds
The October 10 post is the Halloween part most players will notice. "Every 2 hours, a Blood Moon rises over every server!" For 10 minutes, "event luck triples and Huge and Titanic odds double." BIG Games' own tip is to "Stack your luck, wait for the moon, then pop everything!"

- Trick or Treat. "Go door-to-door down the Count's street for loot!" Each house beats the last, and the last house holds the Titanic Snoligoster. The post says knocking under the Blood Moon gives double loot and a moon-only Huge, and lists the Huge Count Penguin for trick-or-treating under the moon.
- Count's Manor. "The Count moved in, and he's the new final boss!" The Gargantuan Mothman is back in his Hatch Battle, with "2x the odds" under the Blood Moon.
- Titanic Count Wolf. It comes from "A Giant Pumpkin under the Blood Moon". The post adds Pumpkin Rebirth: open a full pumpkin, then rebirth "for better HUGE and TITANIC odds".
- Giant Candy Chests. Lucky knocks spawn a chest for the whole street. "Everyone who helps gets loot and Candy", and chests pop up 3x as often under the moon.
- More pets and upgrades. 8 more spooky pets, new eggs in each new zone, and 5 new upgrades: Hatch Speed, Shiny Hunter, Coin Hunter, Moon Luck and Afterglow, which "keeps the moon's luck going after it sets".

Analysis: what to do before October 17
Based on the two posts and the listings above, the deadline that matters is 16:00 UTC on Saturday, October 17, 2026. That is 12 PM in US Eastern time and 9 AM Pacific. Neither post names an end date for the event itself, so that is the listing date, not a promise from BIG Games.
Season Pass items. The notes say "Play this week to earn the HUGE Hippokin!" You finish quests for Season Tokens, with "New quests every day, and a new page every week!" Save bursts for the moon. The post calls the new Tier III Lucky Candles, Soul Lanterns and Lucky Spells "the strongest bursts in all of Hatch Wars" and says to "Pop one at moonrise for MASSIVE luck!" Bursts come from your Giant Pumpkin and Blood Moon Gifts, which you find by knocking and in the Season Pass.
Contests. The Blood Moon League "runs for 6 days" and ranks players by Giant Candy Chests broken. Its top prize is the Gargantuan Mothman. The Blood Moon Leaderboard scores rare hatches under the moon, "starting at 1 in 1,000".
