These creative Roblox games for kids are the ones on Roblox's own player chart where the main activity is making something: an outfit, a house, a garden, a painting or a short film. Each pick comes with the age label and descriptors Roblox shows for it, as read on October 11, 2026, plus the chat and voice settings parents can change.

TL;DR: Seven picks, all rated Minimal by Roblox: three for designing looks, two for building and growing, two for art and video. Watch for in-game shops in the avatar games, the AI descriptor on Catalog Avatar Creator, and videos made by other players in My Movie. Voice chat needs an age check and is 13+ only.

Key Takeaways

  • The filter: games on Roblox's Top Playing Now list (ObbyDesk's reading at 02:19 UTC on October 11, 2026) whose official description is about creating something.
  • The labels: all seven picks are Minimal, Roblox's lowest label; six list only "Suitable for everyone".
  • The exception: Catalog Avatar Creator lists "Artificial Intelligence (Standalone)".
  • Voice: Roblox says you must be "at least 13 years old" and pass an age check to turn it on.
  • Spending: parents can set a monthly limit from a linked account or in Parent mode.

Overview: how we picked these creative Roblox games for kids

We started from ObbyDesk's reading of Roblox's Top Playing Now list and read the official description, server size and age label of every game whose description is about designing, building, painting, cooking or filming. A game made the list if making something is the main thing you do. Games where you mostly collect, roll or survive went to the close calls below.

Roblox gives every game a maturity label: Minimal, Mild, Moderate or Restricted. The lowest, Minimal, "May contain occasional mild violence, light unrealistic blood, and/or occasional mild fear." Each game also lists descriptors, and Roblox notes that "Content descriptors are determined by the experience creator and descriptors may vary between experiences." Players and ranks below are from 02:19 UTC on October 11, 2026, and will change.

Analysis: 7 creative Roblox games for kids, by type

Design a look

1. Catalog Avatar Creator (17th, 89,116 players). Made by an independent developer; 24 players per server; created July 3, 2021. It lets you "try on many different avatar/catalog items for free" and browse "over 50M+ Community Created outfits". Label: Minimal, with one descriptor, "Artificial Intelligence (Standalone)". Roblox's labels page says "Games with AI interaction may contain chatbots." For parents: "All purchases made in-game will be available in your Roblox inventory & can be used in all games", so trying on is free but buying is real.

2. My Avatar! (54th, 27,305 players). Made by the group THINK DIFFERENT.; 28 players per server; created April 17, 2025. It "lets you browse the entire Roblox catalog and build avatars for free". You can "Spend Points in our Point Store to claim 100+ Free accessories." Label: Minimal, "Suitable for everyone". For parents: the page also says "Sign up to Roblox Plus within My Avatar and earn 1,299 Points!", which is a subscription prompt.

3. Dress To Impress (23rd, 64,489 players). Made by Dress To Impress Group; 13 players per server. "Create stunning outfits 👗💖⭐, and strut the runway to show off your unique style." Players also "Vote for your favorite outfits!" Label: Minimal, "Suitable for everyone". Our Dress To Impress Halloween 2026 article has the event dates.

Dropped on Oct 16: Makeup Mania! It was pick 4 when we checked on October 11, labeled Minimal and "Suitable for everyone". On Oct 16, Roblox's label read "Maturity: Moderate • Ages 16+", with one descriptor: "Free Form User Creation (Present)". Roblox says games with free-form user creation "are only available to age-checked users 16 and older", so it is off this list.

Build and grow

4. Welcome to Bloxburg (39th, 34,543 players). Made by Bloxburg Development; 12 players per server; created November 4, 2014, the oldest game here. "Build and decorate, or buy the house or creation of your dreams!" You can also "Level up your skills, such as cooking, and unlock exciting content!" Label: Minimal, "Suitable for everyone". Bloxburg also has jobs: "💼 Choose a job and earn money + rewards as you work!"

5. Grow a Garden (57th, 26,228 players). Made by The Garden Game; 4 players per server, the smallest here. "Buy seeds from the shop when they restock, plant them, wait for them to grow, and collect the profits!" The page adds "Remember, your garden literally grows while you are offline⭐". Label: Minimal, "Suitable for everyone".

Art and video

6. Paint to Get Rich (66th, 24,125 players). Made by Toasty Works; 6 players per server; created August 20, 2026. The page says "Paint anything!" and "Fill your gallery with your favorite artwork", and you "Build and upgrade your art studio". The description opens with "UPDATE: W2 / THE MUSEUM!" Label: Minimal, "Suitable for everyone". The "rich" part is about growing your studio: "Start with nothing and build your way up to a huge art empire!"

7. My Movie (81st, 20,878 players). Made by Good Ape; 50 players per server; created May 30, 2023. "Create your own movies, and watch a never-ending stream of videos by people just like you! It's just like YouTube!" Label: Minimal, "Suitable for everyone". For parents: the videos come from other players, not from Roblox, and the page asks you to "REPORT videos that break the Roblox rules", explaining: Click "Videos", "My Videos", then click the flag icon to report a video. Show your child where that flag is.

Close calls

These are on the same chart and look creative from the name, but did not make the list:

  • Karinderya! (55th). "You own a " Karinderya! " a Filipino Restaurant." and it is a "Co-op Restaurant Simulator". It is Minimal but lists "Violence (Occasional/Mild)".
  • Build An Ant Empire (52nd). Minimal and "Suitable for everyone", but the loop is to "Roll new ants, collect food, earn money, upgrade your colony, and unlock powerful new ants", which is more collecting than making.
  • Mukbang Game (49th). A place "Where you are able to record your mukbangs and ASMR in Roblox!", but the page warns "Expect bugs in this game as this game is under Testing or Beta".
  • Animal Hospital (Anomaly) (36th). You "treat the patients", "but some patients are acting weird...". It lists "Blood (Light/Unrealistic)", "Fear (Occasional/Mild)" and "Violence (Occasional/Mild)".

Chat, voice and spending: what Roblox lets parents set

A creative game is still an online game. Some parents skip Roblox over chat alone; one wrote on r/Parenting: "We stopped my daughter (several years ago) because you couldn't block chats, and have been happy never to go back." (Reddit, Oct 31, 2025). Today's controls are more detailed. These settings come from Roblox Support. Parents can manage them from a linked parent account or with "Parent mode on your child's device", which Roblox says is "rolling out gradually and may not be available to everyone yet."

  • Voice chat. "To turn on Voice Chat for the first time, you need to be at least 13 years old", and you must verify your ID or complete Facial Age Estimation. "Phone verification is not a valid method to gain access to Voice Chat following these updates." It is "not enabled by default."
  • Text chat. "Users under the age of 9 require parental consent to enable experience chat." Experience chat is with "trusted friends and people in similar age groups who are playing the same game." One catch: "These settings only apply to experience chat and direct chat, not to chat features added by the creator of a game."
  • Spending. "You can set a monthly spending limit on how much money your child can spend on Roblox, including Robux or subscriptions to individual games."
  • Blocking a game. "Block a game to prevent your child from joining it, regardless of its content maturity level."
  • Screen time. Roblox lets you "restrict the amount of time your child can spend on Roblox each day."

Our take

Based on Roblox's labels and the game pages quoted above, the calmest creative starts for a young child are Grow a Garden, with 4 players per server, and Paint to Get Rich, with 6. Bloxburg is the deepest builder on the list and has been running since 2014. The two avatar games sell items that go to your inventory, so set a monthly limit first. My Movie is the most creative pick and the one to supervise, since its videos come from other players. For group play, see our best Roblox games to play with friends.

How we checked this

We used ObbyDesk's reading of Roblox's Top Playing Now list from 02:19 UTC on October 11, 2026, then read the description, creator, server size, age label and descriptors of 15 candidate games through roproxy, a public mirror of Roblox's official APIs, the same day. Label meanings, voice chat rules and parental controls are quoted from Roblox Support pages read on October 11. On Oct 16 we re-read every pick and those pages: Roblox had reworded its chat, blocking and screen time lines, and Makeup Mania! had a new label. The parent comment was read on Reddit. We did not play these games for this list. All 165 sources are in our source file. Last reviewed October 16, 2026.
