99 Nights in the Forest Halloween 2026: Trick or Treat Date
99 Nights in the Forest Halloween 2026 gets its big update on Saturday, October 17: the developer's Roblox listing, Trick or Treat (Part 1), starts at 17:00 UTC. This preview, written from listings checked on October 12, 2026, gives the start time in US zones, what the listing does and does not say, and what last year's Trick or Treat and this month's Helping Happy update added, per the fan wiki.
TL;DR: Trick or Treat (Part 1) is listed from 17:00 UTC October 17 (1 PM Eastern, 10 AM Pacific) to 12:00 UTC October 24, 2026. The listing has no description. Last year's Trick or Treat update added trick-or-treating at houses, the Trick or Treater class and Candies, per the fan wiki. No codes on the developer's Roblox pages.
What parents need to know:
- Roblox labels 99 Nights in the Forest Minimal, with "Fear (Occasional/Mild)" and "Violence (Occasional/Mild)".
- The Halloween updates keep that spooky tone, so younger players who scare easily may want a calmer pick from our best Roblox horror games list, which sorts games by Roblox's fear labels.
Key Takeaways
- Starts: 17:00 UTC Saturday, October 17, 2026 (1 PM Eastern, 10 AM Pacific).
- Listing ends: 12:00 UTC Saturday, October 24 (8 AM Eastern, 5 AM Pacific).
- Part 1: the subtitle suggests more parts; none is listed as of October 12.
- Already live: Helping Happy, the October 3 update, per the fan wiki and players.
- Codes: none on the developer's Roblox pages; no new Halloween store items.
What Happened
Grandma's Favourite Games, a verified Roblox group with 12,519,141 members on October 12, 2026, has one upcoming listing on the 99 Nights in the Forest page. Its title is "Trick or Treat", its subtitle is "Part 1", and its description is empty.
| Time zone | Starts | Listing ends |
|---|---|---|
| UTC | Sat, Oct 17, 17:00 | Sat, Oct 24, 12:00 |
| US Eastern (EDT) | Sat, Oct 17, 1:00 PM | Sat, Oct 24, 8:00 AM |
| US Pacific (PDT) | Sat, Oct 17, 10:00 AM | Sat, Oct 24, 5:00 AM |
The start matches the game's usual Saturday slot, according to the fan wiki. Its update log says that since June 2026, "updates occur every two weeks on Saturdays at 1 PM EST", with the update going live "about 30 minutes after the update party begins". The listing's 17:00 UTC is 1 PM US Eastern in October, so expect the update itself shortly after the listed start if that pattern holds. The game page itself was last updated on October 7, 2026.

Why It Matters
99 Nights in the Forest was fourth on Roblox's Top Playing Now chart with 220,224 players when ObbyDesk's tracker read it at 12:49 UTC on October 12, 2026. The game's own pitch is short: "Build a camp with friends." and "Something is watching you." If you have not played yet, our 99 Nights in the Forest guide covers the first nights, the Deer and the four kids.
Helping Happy, the first Halloween update. The fan wiki, which is unofficial, logs a "Helping Happy" update on October 3, 2026: "Happy the Halloween Guy has been Boned by The Ram! Help reassemble his body by finding his limbs around the map." Webs spawn all over the map, and hitting one with anything shows "You need a special scythe to clear this." Happy's Scythe, which you pick up at the campfire, has three levels. The wiki's badge page lists three Halloween 2026 badges: Reaping (scythe to max level), Strawcraft (rebuild Happy) and Sweeping (destroy 200 webs with the scythe).

What last year's Trick or Treat added. The 2026 listing has the same name as last year's Halloween update. The fan wiki logs "2025.10.18- Trick or Treat" with this summary: "Visit the houses of various characters around the map. Light the candles around their houses to activate the house." It added a Halloween lobby and map, the Trick or Treater class, Candies and the Halloween Candle. The wiki says the trick-or-treating mechanic "lasted from October 18, 2025 to November 8, 2025", calls Candies "the limited time side currency", and notes that the class cannot be equipped "if it isn't the Halloween season". None of that is confirmed for 2026 until the update goes live.
Codes and store. We checked the game description and the Grandma's Favourite Games group on October 12, 2026. Neither lists a code, and the group shout was empty. Roblox's store data that day showed no developer product created since April 2026 and no game pass created this year.

What players are saying
Helping Happy kept players busy. One player wrote in r/99nightsintheforest: "Three quests to complete for Happy's Halloween and they're a doozy for a solo person. Took me three runs to get them all." (Oct 5, 2026). Another was happy with the update's first reward and wrote: "I suspect I won't be playing any other class for the next two weeks" (r/99nightsintheforest, Oct 4, 2026).
Our take
Based on the developer's listing and the fan wiki's update log, the start time is the one solid fact: 17:00 UTC on October 17, the game's usual Saturday slot. "Part 1" and last year's update of the same name point to trick-or-treating coming back, but the developer has not said so, and this guide does not assume it. For other Halloween events on the chart this week, see our Steal An Egg Halloween preview, which starts two hours earlier the same day.
How we checked this
We read the game's data, description, group, age label, event listings and store through a public mirror of Roblox's official APIs on October 12, 2026, and used ObbyDesk's reading of Roblox's Top Playing Now chart from 12:49 UTC that day. Helping Happy and the 2025 Trick or Treat details come from the 99 Nights in the Forest fan wiki on Fandom, which is unofficial. Reddit posts were read through Reddit's public RSS feed. We did not play the update. All 34 sources are in our source file. Last reviewed October 15, 2026.
